BioMab EGFR (Nimotuzumab Vials) 50mg/10ml

BioMab EGFR is indicated for the treatment of cancers that overexpress the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR).

• Head and Neck Cancer: Used in combination with radiotherapy for the treatment of squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
• Colorectal Cancer: Used in combination with other chemotherapy agents for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer.
• Esophageal Cancer: Used in combination with other treatments for the treatment of esophageal cancer.
• Glioma: Used in the treatment of high-grade glioma in children and adults.

• BioMab EGFR works by binding to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) on the surface of cancer cells. This binding inhibits the activation of EGFR, which in turn blocks the downstream signaling pathways that promote cell proliferation and survival. By inhibiting these pathways, BioMab EGFR helps to slow or stop the growth of cancer cells.

BioMab EGFR, like other monoclonal antibodies, can cause a range of side effects, which can vary in severity.

Common Side Effects

• Fatigue
• Nausea and vomiting
• Fever and chills
• Headache
• Skin reactions at the injection site
• Diarrhea
• Loss of appetite
• Weakness

Serious or Rare Side Effects

• Allergic reactions, including difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, and severe rash
• Infusion-related reactions, such as fever, chills, and dizziness
• Liver toxicity, which may manifest as jaundice or abnormal liver function tests
• Kidney toxicity, which may manifest as changes in urine output or blood tests
• Cardiovascular events, such as changes in blood pressure or heart rate

BioMab EGFR should be used with caution in certain patient populations and conditions.

• Pregnancy: BioMab EGFR should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception during treatment.
• Breastfeeding: It is not known whether BioMab EGFR is excreted in human milk. Caution should be exercised when administering to breastfeeding women.
• Liver and Kidney Impairment: Patients with pre-existing liver or kidney impairment should be monitored closely during treatment.
• Infections: Patients should be monitored for signs of infection, as BioMab EGFR may increase the risk of infections.
• Allergies: Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to monoclonal antibodies should be monitored closely for signs of allergic reactions.
