Infanrix–polio+hib is a combination vaccine that targets several bacterial and viral diseases in the pediatric immunisation schedule.

• Diphtheria: prevents the life‑threatening toxin‑mediated disease.

• Pertussis: reduces severe coughing episodes and complications in infants.

Serious or Rare Side Effects

• Anaphylaxis: severe allergic reaction requiring immediate medical attention.
• Seizures: febrile or non‑febrile convulsions.
• High fever (>40 °C): may be accompanied by lethargy.
• Hypotonic‑hyporesponsive episode: reduced muscle tone and responsiveness.
• Encephalopathy: rare inflammation of the brain.
• Persistent crying lasting >3 hours: may indicate a serious reaction.

Before administering Infanrix–polio+hib, consider the following precautions.
