Glypressin (Terlipressin Acetate)

• Management of acute variceal bleeding in patients with portal hypertension.
• Treatment of hepatorenal syndrome associated with advanced liver disease.
• Adjunctive therapy to control hemorrhage during endoscopic procedures for esophageal or gastric varices.
• Support of hemodynamic stability in patients with refractory hypotension secondary to severe liver dysfunction.
• Temporary bridge therapy while awaiting definitive interventions such as transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS).

Common

• Headache, flushing, or mild abdominal discomfort.
• Nausea or vomiting.
• Transient hypertension or tachycardia.

Serious

• Myocardial ischemia or infarction.
• Severe hypertension leading to hypertensive emergency.
• Peripheral or organ ischemia, including digital necrosis.
• Life‑threatening arrhythmias.
• Anaphylactic or severe allergic reactions.

Use Glypressin with caution in patients who have certain cardiovascular, renal, or hepatic conditions, and observe monitoring guidelines.
