Common

Serious

• Severe hypotension leading to syncope.
• Rapid heart rate (reflex tachycardia) that may be symptomatic.
• Allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or swelling of the face and throat.
• Methemoglobinemia (rare) causing cyanosis and shortness of breath.
• Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) with difficulty breathing, hypotension, and swelling.

• Assess blood pressure before each dose; avoid use in patients with severe hypotension.
• Do not combine with phosphodiesterase‑5 inhibitors (e.g., sildenafil) due to risk of profound hypotension.
