Gracial is indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women of reproductive age who choose a hormonal method of contraception.

Common

• Headache or mild migraine, typically transient and may improve with regular dosing.
• Spotting, breakthrough bleeding, or irregular menstrual bleeding, especially during the first month of therapy.

Serious

• Deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, or other thromboembolic events, requiring immediate medical attention.
• Severe hypertension, stroke, or myocardial infarction, which are rare but serious complications.

Before prescribing Gracial, clinicians assess individual risk factors and medical history to ensure safe use of combined hormonal contraception.

• Avoid use in women with a history of thromboembolic disorders, stroke, or myocardial infarction.
• Contraindicated in smokers over 35 years of age due to increased cardiovascular risk.
• Do not use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding; alternative contraception should be considered.
• Caution in patients with uncontrolled hypertension, diabetes with vascular complications, or liver disease.
• Screen for migraine with aura, as hormonal contraceptives may exacerbate this condition.

Avoid
