Gramegran (Sumatriptan Succinate)

Gramegran is indicated for the acute management of migraine episodes in adults. It is not intended for prophylactic use or for other headache types.

• Can be used when other acute migraine therapies are ineffective

• Serotonin syndrome (when combined with other serotonergic agents)
• Allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing

• Evaluate for history of stroke, transient ischemic attack, or other cerebrovascular disorders

Avoid

• Other triptans or ergotamine derivatives
• Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) or serotonin‑norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) due to risk of serotonin syndrome
• Certain antihypertensive agents (e.g., ergot alkaloids) that may increase vasospasm risk

Use with caution

• Antidepressants that affect serotonin levels
• CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole or erythromycin
• Medications that prolong QT interval
• NSAIDs that may increase cardiovascular risk when combined
