Hedimal (Sumatriptan)

Hedimal is indicated for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults. It is not intended for prophylactic use or for other headache types.

Serious

• Chest discomfort or tightness
• Severe hypertension or hypertensive crisis
• Serotonin syndrome (especially with other serotonergic agents)
• Allergic reactions such as rash or swelling

Before using Hedimal, certain precautions should be considered to ensure safe and effective treatment.

• Assess cardiovascular risk, as sumatriptan can cause vasoconstriction
• Avoid use in patients with uncontrolled hypertension
• Use caution in individuals with a history of ischemic heart disease or stroke
• Do not exceed the recommended maximum dose within 24 hours
• Evaluate for potential drug‑induced serotonin syndrome
• Consider renal or hepatic impairment when dosing
