Heviran Comfort (Aciclovir)

Heviran Comfort is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by herpes viruses.

• Aciclovir, the active component of Heviran Comfort, is a nucleoside analogue that is phosphorylated by viral thymidine kinase to its active triphosphate form. The triphosphate selectively inhibits viral DNA polymerase, causing premature chain termination during viral DNA synthesis. This suppression of viral replication reduces the spread of the herpes virus within infected tissues, allowing the immune system to control the infection more effectively.

Adverse reactions to Heviran Comfort are generally mild, but serious events can occur.
