• Hypromellose is a high‑molecular‑weight cellulose derivative that dissolves in the aqueous vehicle of the eye drop to create a viscous, muco‑adhesive layer on the corneal and conjunctival epithelium. This film mimics the natural mucin component of the tear film, decreasing evaporation, stabilizing the tear layer, and reducing mechanical friction between the eyelid and ocular surface, thereby improving ocular comfort for the patient.

Adverse reactions to Hipromelosa Stada are generally mild and transient, but occasional more serious events have been reported.

Common

• Temporary blurred vision immediately after instillation.
