• Chondroitin polysulfate is a sulfated glycosaminoglycan that exerts anti‑inflammatory and antithrombotic effects when applied to the skin. It interferes with the adhesion of platelets to the endothelium and inhibits the activity of inflammatory mediators such as histamine and prostaglandins. By stabilizing capillary walls, the compound reduces extravasation of blood and fluid, thereby limiting bruising and swelling.
