Hirudoid (Chondroitin Polysulfate)

Hirudoid is indicated for several superficial vascular and inflammatory conditions where localized clot formation or swelling is present.

• Chondroitin polysulfate acts as a glycosaminoglycan that locally inhibits thrombin activity, reducing fibrin formation and micro‑thrombus development. It also modulates the inflammatory response by decreasing leukocyte adhesion to the endothelium and limiting vascular permeability, which together contribute to reduced swelling and pain at the site of application.
