Hooikoortstabletten Loratadine Livsane is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of common allergic conditions.

• Loratadine acts as a selective peripheral H1‑receptor antagonist. By binding to H1 receptors on mast cells, basophils and other target cells, it prevents histamine released during an allergic response from attaching to its receptors. This blockade reduces the vascular permeability, nerve stimulation and glandular secretion that underlie typical allergy symptoms, while having limited ability to cross the blood‑brain barrier, which minimizes sedation.
