• Silver sulfadiazine releases silver ions that bind to bacterial proteins and DNA, disrupting cell membranes and inhibiting enzymatic pathways, while sulfadiazine interferes with bacterial folic‑acid synthesis. Sodium hyaluronate forms a viscoelastic matrix on the wound surface, retaining moisture, facilitating cell migration, and supporting extracellular matrix formation, which together promote faster re‑epithelialization and provides a scaffold for fibroblast activity, enhancing granulation tissue development.
