• Hyaluronidase enzymatically hydrolyzes hyaluronic acid polymers within the extracellular matrix, breaking down the gel‑like structure that limits diffusion. This degradation lowers interstitial viscosity and expands intercellular spaces, thereby increasing tissue permeability and facilitating the dispersion, absorption, and distribution of co‑administered drugs or fluids.
