• Hydrocortison Zentiva delivers hydrocortisone, which penetrates cell membranes and binds to intracellular glucocorticoid receptors. The drug‑receptor complex translocates to the nucleus, where it interacts with glucocorticoid response elements on DNA, modulating transcription. This up‑regulates anti‑inflammatory proteins such as annexin‑1 and down‑regulates pro‑inflammatory cytokines (e.g., interleukin‑1, tumor necrosis factor‑α), thereby reducing inflammation and providing glucocorticoid hormone replacement. The overall effect restores cortisol activity and suppresses excessive immune responses.
