Hydrocortisonum Afp is indicated for several common inflammatory skin disorders where reduction of redness, swelling, and itching is desired.

• Eczema (atopic dermatitis) and related pruritic eruptions, especially when lesions are confined to limited skin areas.
• Contact dermatitis caused by irritants or allergens, including reactions to chemicals, cosmetics, or plants.
• Mild to moderate plaque psoriasis, used to reduce scaling and erythema on affected plaques.

• Hydrocortisonum Afp delivers hydrocortisone acetate to the skin, where it diffuses into epidermal and dermal cells and binds to intracellular glucocorticoid receptors. The receptor‑ligand complex translocates to the nucleus and interacts with glucocorticoid response elements, altering transcription of multiple genes. This results in decreased synthesis of pro‑inflammatory cytokines, prostaglandins, and leukotrienes, and suppresses migration of immune cells, producing a local anti‑inflammatory and immunosuppressive effect.
