Ibalgin (Ibuprofen)

Ibalgin is a topical NSAID that acts on inflammatory pathways to alleviate pain in musculoskeletal conditions.

• Ibuprofen inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX‑1 and COX‑2) enzymes in peripheral tissues, decreasing the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate inflammation, pain and fever. When applied cutaneously, the drug penetrates the skin to act locally on inflamed tissues, providing targeted analgesic and anti‑inflammatory effects without significant systemic exposure.

Topical ibuprofen is generally well tolerated, but adverse reactions can occur.
