• Ibufen Baby, an ibuprofen suppository, acts on inflammatory pathways to relieve common pediatric symptoms.

• Ibuprofen exerts its effect by non‑selectively inhibiting cyclooxygenase‑1 (COX‑1) and cyclooxygenase‑2 (COX‑2) enzymes, which are key in the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins. By reducing prostaglandin synthesis, it diminishes peripheral sensitisation, lowers the hypothalamic set‑point for temperature, and limits inflammatory exudate formation, resulting in analgesic, antipyretic and anti‑inflammatory actions.
