Ibuprofeno B. Braun is an NSAID used in clinical situations where rapid analgesia, antipyresis or anti‑inflammatory effect is required.

• Inflammation: diminishes tissue swelling and erythema in acute inflammatory states.

• Ibuprofen inhibits both cyclooxygenase‑1 (COX‑1) and cyclooxygenase‑2 (COX‑2) enzymes, decreasing the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins. The reduced prostaglandin synthesis leads to diminished inflammation, lowered fever, and decreased transmission of pain signals at peripheral nerve endings.
