Ibuprofen acts as an analgesic, antipyretic and anti‑inflammatory agent in the pediatric population.

• Mild to moderate pain: relieves headache, toothache, sore throat and musculoskeletal discomfort in kids.
• Inflammatory conditions: helps control swelling and pain associated with minor injuries or juvenile inflammatory disorders.

• Ibuprofen inhibits cyclo‑oxygenase (COX‑1 and COX‑2) enzymes, decreasing the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate pain, fever and inflammation. By reducing prostaglandin levels at sites of tissue injury and in the hypothalamic thermoregulatory center, it provides analgesic, antipyretic and anti‑inflammatory effects without directly acting on the central nervous system.
