Ibuxin Rapid (Ibuprofen)

Ibuxin Rapid (ibuprofen) is an NSAID that reduces inflammation and pain by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes.

• Pain: Provides relief of mild to moderate acute pain such as headache, dental pain, or musculoskeletal discomfort.
• Fever: Lowers elevated body temperature associated with febrile illnesses.
• Arthritis: Alleviates pain and swelling in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

• Ibuprofen exerts its effect by non‑selectively inhibiting the cyclooxygenase‑1 (COX‑1) and cyclooxygenase‑2 (COX‑2) enzymes. This blockade reduces the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins and thromboxanes, leading to decreased synthesis of mediators that cause pain, fever and inflammation throughout the body. By limiting prostaglandin production, ibuprofen also diminishes peripheral sensitization of nociceptors and the febrile set point in the hypothalamus.

• Severe allergic reaction: anaphylaxis, swelling of face or throat.
• Stevens‑Johnson syndrome: severe skin blistering and detachment.

Before initiating therapy with Ibuxin Rapid, consider the following precautions to minimize risk.

• Assess gastrointestinal risk: evaluate history of ulcer disease or bleeding before use.
• Use lowest effective dose: prescribe the minimal dose needed for symptom control.
• Monitor renal function: check kidney parameters in patients with renal disease or dehydration.
• Avoid in known hypersensitivity: discontinue if allergic reactions occur.
• Caution with cardiovascular disease: use carefully in patients with heart failure or hypertension.
• Store below 25°C: keep in the original pack, protect from moisture and keep out of reach of children.

Ibuxin Rapid can interact with other medicines; some combinations require avoidance while others need close monitoring.
