Imeron (Iomeprol)

Imeron (iomeprol) is used in diagnostic imaging procedures that require vascular or organ contrast enhancement.

• Iomeprol contains a high concentration of iodine atoms that absorb X‑ray photons more effectively than surrounding tissues. After intraarterial or intravenous injection, the agent distributes within the vascular and extracellular compartments, increasing the attenuation of X‑rays and thereby creating a contrast between blood‑filled structures and adjacent tissues. This enhanced attenuation allows radiologists to differentiate anatomical details and pathological changes during imaging studies.
