Indapamid Ct (Indapamide Hemihydrate)

Indapamide is a thiazide‑like diuretic that acts on the renal distal convoluted tubule to manage fluid balance and blood pressure.

• Indapamide inhibits the Na⁺/Cl⁻ cotransporter in the distal convoluted tubule of the nephron, reducing reabsorption of sodium and chloride. This leads to increased urinary excretion of sodium, chloride, and water, which lowers plasma volume and peripheral vascular resistance, thereby decreasing blood pressure and alleviating fluid retention.
