Infectopedicul (permethrin) is used to treat parasitic skin infestations by targeting the arthropod nervous system.

• Scabies: eliminates Sarcoptes scabiei mites, relieving itching and preventing spread.
• Head lice: eradicates Pediculus humanus capitis, removing live lice and nits from the scalp.
• Body lice: treats Pediculus humanus corporis infestation, controlling infestation on the body and clothing.

• Permethrin acts on the voltage‑gated sodium channels of parasite nerve membranes. By binding to the channel’s open state, it prolongs sodium influx, causing persistent depolarization, paralysis, and death of the ectoparasite. The compound’s high affinity for insect neuronal channels and low affinity for mammalian channels results in selective toxicity with minimal systemic absorption when applied to intact skin.
