Inflaforte (Diclofenac Sodium)

Inflaforte (diclofenac sodium) is applied to the skin to reduce inflammation and pain in musculoskeletal disorders.

• Diclofenac sodium exerts its anti‑inflammatory effect by reversibly inhibiting cyclooxygenase‑1 (COX‑1) and cyclooxygenase‑2 (COX‑2) enzymes, which decreases the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate pain, swelling and fever. The topical delivery allows local drug concentrations to act directly on inflamed tissues while limiting systemic exposure. This selective reduction of prostaglandin production leads to diminished inflammatory response at the site of application.

Topical diclofenac may cause skin‑related reactions and, in rare cases, systemic adverse events.

Common Side Effects
