Innohep (Tinzaparin Sodium)

Innohep, a low molecular weight heparin, is used in the management of venous thromboembolic conditions.

• Tinzaparin sodium binds to antithrombin III, enhancing its inhibitory activity against activated factor Xa and, to a lesser extent, thrombin (factor IIa). This accelerated inhibition disrupts the conversion of prothrombin to thrombin and the generation of fibrin, thereby interrupting the coagulation cascade and preventing clot propagation. The resulting anticoagulant effect is dose‑dependent and persists for several hours after subcutaneous injection.
