Iodio Almus (Iodine, Potassium Iodide)

Iodio Almus is a topical antiseptic used to reduce microbial contamination on the skin and in superficial wounds.

• Topical iodine releases free iodine, which penetrates microbial cell walls and oxidizes essential proteins, nucleic acids and lipids. This oxidative damage denatures enzymes and disrupts membrane integrity, leading to rapid cell death across a wide range of bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa. The action is non‑specific, making resistance unlikely.
