Iomeron (Iomeprol)

Iomeron (iomeprol) is an iodinated contrast agent used in radiographic imaging to improve visualization of vascular and organ structures.

• Iomeprol contains iodine atoms that strongly absorb X‑ray photons. When administered intravenously or intra‑arterially, the iodine increases the attenuation of X‑rays passing through blood vessels and tissues, creating a marked difference in radiodensity between enhanced structures and surrounding background, thereby improving image contrast in radiographic examinations.
