Iqymune (Human Normal Immunoglobulin)

Iqymune is used in immunoglobulin replacement therapy for disorders characterized by deficient antibody production.

• Iqymune supplies a pooled collection of human IgG antibodies derived from thousands of donors. After intravenous infusion, the antibodies distribute throughout the vascular and extravascular compartments, binding to pathogens and toxins, and neutralizing them. The exogenous IgG also provides opsonization, complement activation, and antibody‑dependent cellular cytotoxicity, thereby compensating for the patient’s deficient endogenous immunoglobulin production and restoring humoral immunity effectively.

Intravenous immunoglobulin therapy can be associated with a range of adverse reactions, varying from mild to severe.

• Fever and chills: transient rise in temperature and shaking sensations.
