Isopto-Max is indicated for ocular conditions involving bacterial infection or inflammation.

Neomycin sulfate interferes with bacterial protein synthesis by attaching to the 30 S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting bacterial growth. Polymyxin B sulfate interacts with the phospholipid component of bacterial cell membranes, increasing permeability and causing cell death.
