Jodisol (Povidone, Iodinated)

Jodisol (povidone‑iodine) is a topical antiseptic used for skin and wound management.

• Skin antisepsis: reduces microbial load on intact or compromised skin before procedures.

• Pre‑operative skin preparation: prepares surgical sites by eliminating surface microorganisms.

• Povidone‑iodine releases free iodine when applied to the skin. This broad‑spectrum action destroys bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa, while the povidone carrier sustains antimicrobial activity for several minutes, ensuring thorough decontamination of the treated area.

Common Side Effects
