• Kalinox, an inhalational anesthetic, is used for analgesia and sedation in several clinical settings.

• Nitrous oxide acts as an NMDA receptor antagonist and modulates opioid receptors, producing analgesia and sedation. The accompanying oxygen component maintains adequate tissue oxygenation, while the combined gas mixture depresses central nervous system activity, facilitating a controlled anesthetic state without significant cardiovascular depression.
