Karbamid Evolan (Urea)

Karbamid Evolan, a topical keratolytic, is used to manage disorders characterized by excessive keratin buildup.

• Urea acts as a keratolytic by disrupting hydrogen bonds within keratin proteins, increasing water binding capacity of the stratum corneum. This leads to reduced corneocyte cohesion, enhanced skin hydration, and gradual dissolution of hyperkeratotic tissue, resulting in softened and more pliable skin.

Topical urea is generally well tolerated, but local reactions can occur.

Common Side Effects
