Ketokonazol Net (Ketoconazole)

Ketoconazole is an azole antifungal that targets dermatophyte and yeast infections of the skin.

• Ketoconazole inhibits the fungal enzyme lanosterol 14α‑demethylase (CYP51), a key step in ergosterol synthesis. By blocking this cytochrome P450–dependent pathway, the drug disrupts cell membrane formation, leading to increased membrane permeability and ultimately fungal cell death. The topical application concentrates the effect at the site of infection while minimizing systemic exposure.
