Ketospray (Ketoprofen)

• Ketoprofen, a topical NSAID, is used to relieve pain and inflammation in several musculoskeletal and joint conditions.
• Localized musculoskeletal pain: reduces pain and inflammation at the site of application.

• Ketoprofen reversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase‑1 and cyclooxygenase‑2 enzymes in peripheral tissues, decreasing the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate inflammation, pain and fever. By limiting prostaglandin production at the site of application, the drug reduces vascular permeability, edema and nociceptor sensitisation, resulting in localized anti‑inflammatory and analgesic effects.

Ketospray may cause local and systemic adverse reactions, most of which are mild and reversible.
