Kipodenal (Benzalkonium Chloride, Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Benzyl Alcohol)

Kipodenal is a topical antiseptic used for skin and wound decontamination.

• The components of Kipodenal disrupt microbial cell membranes. Benzalkonium chloride acts as a cationic surfactant that solubilizes lipid bilayers, chlorhexidine gluconate binds to bacterial cell walls causing leakage of intracellular contents, and benzyl alcohol adds preservative and additional antimicrobial activity, collectively leading to rapid cell death of bacteria, fungi, and some viruses.

Kipodenal may cause local reactions when applied to the skin.

Common Side Effects

Serious or Rare Side Effects
