Klean-Prep, containing electrolyte and osmotic agents, is used in gastrointestinal preparation and electrolyte management.

• The sodium hydrogen carbonate component acts as an alkalinizing agent, while potassium chloride and sodium chloride replenish essential electrolytes. Sodium sulfate draws water into the intestinal lumen osmotically, and macrogol (polyethylene glycol) retains water, together producing a laxative effect that clears the bowel and corrects electrolyte disturbances.
