Konakion Mm Ampoules (Phytomenadione)

Konakion Mm Ampoules provides vitamin K1 for conditions where clotting factor synthesis is impaired.

• Vitamin K deficiency: restores normal coagulation by enabling functional clotting factor production.
• Anticoagulant‑related bleeding: reverses excess anticoagulation, such as warfarin overdose, to control hemorrhage.
• Neonatal hemorrhagic disease prophylaxis: prevents bleeding in newborns at risk of vitamin K deficiency.

• Phytomenadione supplies vitamin K1, a cofactor required for the gamma‑carboxylation of glutamate residues on clotting factors II, VII, IX and X. This post‑translational modification produces functional clotting factors, thereby restoring the coagulation cascade and correcting coagulopathy caused by deficiency or antagonism of vitamin K.

Adverse reactions may occur following intravenous administration of vitamin K1.

Common Side Effects

• Injection site pain: mild discomfort at the site of administration.
• Erythema or swelling: localized redness or edema.
• Flushing or warmth: transient sensation of heat.
