Kreon (Pancreas Powder)

Kreon is used to replace deficient pancreatic enzymes in conditions that impair digestion.

• Kreon contains a mixture of lipase, protease and amylase derived from porcine pancreas. After oral administration, the powder is reconstituted and released in the duodenum where the enzymes act on dietary fats, proteins and carbohydrates, catalyzing their breakdown into absorbable molecules. By supplementing endogenous pancreatic output, it compensates for enzyme deficiency and restores normal digestive processes. The enzymes remain active in the intestinal pH range and are protected from gastric acid by the formulation's buffering agents.
