Krupil (Ramipril)

• Ramipril is indicated for conditions that involve the renin‑angiotensin system and cardiovascular risk.

• Ramipril is a pro‑drug that is converted to ramiprilat, which binds to and inhibits angiotensin‑converting enzyme (ACE). This inhibition prevents the conversion of angiotensin I to the potent vasoconstrictor angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation, reduced aldosterone secretion, decreased sodium and water retention, and ultimately lower arterial pressure.
