Lambdalina (Lidocaine)

Lidocaine is a local anesthetic used topically to provide pain relief for a range of superficial conditions.

• Lidocaine exerts its effect by reversibly blocking voltage‑gated sodium channels on neuronal membranes. By inhibiting the influx of sodium ions, it prevents the initiation and propagation of action potentials, thereby halting nerve impulse transmission. This localized interruption of signal conduction results in loss of sensation in the applied area without affecting systemic neural activity. The blockade is concentration‑dependent and reversible, allowing normal sensation to return as the drug is metabolized.

Topical lidocaine may cause local and, rarely, systemic adverse reactions.

Common Side Effects
