Lamera (Olmesartan Medoxomil, Amlodipine)

• Lamera, containing an ARB and a calcium‑channel blocker, is employed to manage elevated blood pressure within the antihypertensive therapeutic class.
• Hypertension: Lowers systolic and diastolic blood pressure by reducing vascular resistance and cardiac workload, helping to prevent stroke, myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular complications.

• Olmesartan medoxomil selectively blocks AT1 receptors, preventing angiotensin II–mediated vasoconstriction and aldosterone release, while amlodipine inhibits L‑type calcium channels in vascular smooth muscle, causing arterial vasodilation. The combined actions result in reduced peripheral resistance and lower blood pressure.
