Laxido Orange (Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Macrogol 3350)

Laxido Orange, an osmotic laxative, is employed to manage conditions affecting bowel transit and stool consistency.

• Constipation: softens stool and facilitates regular bowel movements in individuals with infrequent or difficult evacuation.
• Occasional bowel irregularity: provides temporary relief for sporadic irregularity without chronic use.
• Functional constipation: improves stool frequency and consistency in functional bowel disorders.

• Macrogol 3350 acts as a high‑molecular‑weight polymer that is poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. It creates an osmotic gradient that draws water into the intestinal lumen, increasing stool water content and volume. The resulting softening of fecal mass and enhanced peristalsis promote more frequent and easier defecation. Electrolytes such as sodium, potassium and chloride are included to maintain fluid balance during the osmotic process.

Laxido Orange may be associated with a range of adverse reactions, most of which are mild and transient.

Common Side Effects

• Abdominal bloating: sensation of fullness or swelling in the abdomen.
