Phenylephrine combined with ibuprofen is indicated for symptomatic relief of upper respiratory viral infections and associated flu‑like illness.

• Nasal congestion: reduces swelling of nasal mucosa to improve breathing.

• Headache and body aches: alleviates pain and discomfort caused by cold or flu.

• Phenylephrine acts as an alpha‑1 adrenergic receptor agonist, causing vasoconstriction of the nasal mucosal vessels and thereby decreasing congestion. Ibuprofen inhibits cyclo‑oxygenase‑1 and cyclo‑oxygenase‑2 enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis which provides analgesic, antipyretic and anti‑inflammatory effects.
