Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride works on histamine‑mediated allergic pathways and is used for the following conditions:

• Allergic rhinitis: reduces nasal congestion, itching, sneezing and rhinorrhea.
• Chronic idiopathic urticaria: decreases the frequency and severity of hives and itching.
• Allergic conjunctivitis: alleviates eye itching, redness and tearing.

• Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride selectively blocks peripheral H1 histamine receptors, preventing histamine from binding and activating the cascade that leads to vasodilation, increased vascular permeability, and sensory nerve stimulation, thereby reducing the classic signs of allergic inflammation.

Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride is generally well tolerated, but adverse reactions can occur.

Common Side Effects
