Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride acts on histamine‑mediated allergic pathways and is used for the following conditions:

• Allergic rhinitis (perennial): alleviates continuous nasal itching and discharge.
• Chronic idiopathic urticaria: diminishes hives and associated itching, improving quality of life.

• Levocetirizine selectively blocks peripheral H1 receptors, preventing histamine from binding and activating the cascade that leads to vasodilation, increased vascular permeability, and sensory nerve stimulation.
