Levopar (Benserazide, Levodopa)

Levopar is used in the management of movement disorders affecting the dopaminergic pathway.

Benserazide, a peripheral aromatic L‑amino‑acid decarboxylase inhibitor, does not cross the barrier and blocks peripheral conversion of levodopa, thereby increasing its central availability and minimizing peripheral side effects such as nausea.
