Levopront, containing levodropropizine, is used to suppress cough by acting on the peripheral cough reflex pathway.

• Levodropropizine acts peripherally on sensory C‑fibers located in the respiratory mucosa. The drug does not interfere with mucociliary clearance and lacks opioid‑like central activity, which contributes to its favorable safety profile.
