Lident (Epinephrine, Lidocaine Hydrochloride)

Lident combines epinephrine and lidocaine to provide local anesthesia and hemostasis for procedures involving infiltration or nerve block.

• Dental procedures: delivers rapid local anesthesia while minimizing intra‑oral bleeding.
• Minor skin surgery: facilitates analgesia and reduces operative bleeding.
• Peripheral nerve block: extends the duration of anesthesia for limb surgeries.

• Epinephrine activates alpha‑adrenergic receptors on vascular smooth muscle, causing vasoconstriction that limits systemic absorption of lidocaine and reduces bleeding. Lidocaine blocks voltage‑gated sodium channels in neuronal membranes, preventing depolarization and thereby producing reversible loss of sensation in the targeted area.

Lident may cause a range of adverse reactions, from mild to serious.

Common Side Effects

• Injection site pain: transient discomfort at the site of administration.
