Ligasine (Articaine Hydrochloride, Epinephrine)

Ligasine, an amide‑type local anesthetic, is used to achieve temporary loss of sensation in tissues supplied by peripheral nerves.

The added epinephrine causes vasoconstriction at the injection site, reducing systemic absorption, prolonging the anesthetic effect and limiting bleeding. The combined action also helps maintain a clearer surgical field.

Adverse reactions to Ligasine are generally related to the local anesthetic component or the vasoconstrictor epinephrine.
